Wow, we're stuffed with extra requests. So after a successfully delicious first annual Grateful Bounty, we'll serve up the leftovers, too. Get set for a tasty collection of tunes, along with the free-flow pop culture convo and inspiration for the season.

Join us live Friday 11/29 9 AM (PT) 11 AM (CT) Noon (ET) or anytime thereafter on demand.

And thank you so  such for the great response. The success of our little (not so) under the radar-over-the radio experiment is a little trippy, but I am deeply grateful to each and every guest, listener and promotional cheerleader who has helped us create an entertaining and enlightening show and garner the buzz it needs to grow.

The Grateful Bounty

With such a great response to our Halloween request shows, we are getting ready to serve up some delicious holiday treats.  Our next music show featuring your requests and dedications will air live Monday November 25 and be available thereafter for podcast throughout the holiday season-and beyond!

Send your requests-songs do not have to be Thanksgiving tunes ( only a few of those in the pop culture cupboard), but songs that bring you sheer joy, inspiration, grace and gratitude. Sound familiar? It should to anyone who listens regularly and has dipped into the creative well with us on our Inspiration to Action Challenge.

Dedications, affirmations and notes of gratitude are also welcome.

Please send your requests here or at twitter @abwrites Use the #GratefulBounty.

All requests need to be received by Friday November 22, so Trudi, Aurora and the TCS crew can load all the goodies into our Thanksgiving oven. We will have a few music shows in December for the Holiday season, too. So get set to indulge in a feast of seasonal confections.

I know I have my own grateful bounty to share this year. This show, the enthusiastic response from a loyal and growing audience is among my favorites. So thank you for being part of the success of this little ( not so) under the radar-over-the radio-rainbow experiment.

Drive safe. Play nice. Dream big.

Sandy's Aftermath : One Year Later

It's a year later. And still many people in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut are waiting on FEMA funds to rebuild their homes and reclaim their lives. What's the delay? Talk about broken government.

For those still waiting: stay strong. Be proactive. Pester your Congressional reps. It's not like they're doing anything productive. Except collecting taxpayer financed paychecks.

Drive safe. Play nice. Dream big.

Stay tuned.

Back to School Daze

Yeah, I know, it's been a long time since my mom loaded my Flintstones' lunchbox with a soggy tuna sandwich and I poured myself into my new corduroys ( even if it was 80 degrees outside) and headed back to school, too. But September always leaves me awash in nostalgia. And it's a good time for all of us to start afresh, get that new project in motion, finally tackle that to-do list, actually attach an action plan to those dormant goals.

Easier said than done? Maybe, but a few small steps and a shift in attitude might just re-ignite your creative engine. Join us on The Amy Beth Arkawy Show as we get set to inspire change and growth. Oh, and we'll have some fun along the way. No, really. Stop by. I think you'll want to stay a while.

And if you've got a story to tell--or need help telling yours--send me an e-mail.

Drive safe. play nice. Dream big.

Stay tuned.

And the Oscar Race Is On...

Movie biggies have finally caught on. Grown-ups want to go to the movies in the summer, too. August unleashes a few contenders long before the pre-Oscar dust settles. On top of the list: Woody Allen's much ballyhooed Blue Jasmine. And it does live up to the hype.

A tragic comedy with Allen hitting all the right notes is a essentially a fictional portrait of Ruth Madoff as a middle aged wealthy ex-wife of a real estate crook nabbed gone mad. Cate Blanchett is already on the Best Actress short list. But there are star turns here, too, from Sally Hawkins as her lower-rent, more centered sister, Bobby Cannavale as the sis's bombastic boyfriend and who knew Andrew Dice Clay could actually conjure pathos? Alec Baldwin, a now a perennial Allen player, offers the least nuanced role as the crooked ( and, natch, wife cheating) honcho.

Blue is Jasmine's free-fall,. and Blanchett does it with such frenetic and captivating power, it is truly a tour de force of a mental breakdown.

Everyone Has a Story

The fab cartoon based on the fab Four's quirky classic tune "Paperback Writer," reminds me that we all tell ourselves the stories of our lives. Twists and turns, color, comedy, tragedy there all in the living , the telling, the sharing.

As The Amy Beth Arkawy Show continues to grow we'll continue to reach out to an eclectic array of storytellers. From authors to filmmakers, social crusaders to comedians, theatre folks to musicians, come aboard and share your story, your inspiration and influences.

I invite you to reveal a part of your life with a growing audience of literate, engaged, creative people eager to learn and grow from your experiences.

Reach out via the website or @abwrites. We are currently booking for the fall and beyond.

Happy Birthday. America

As imperfect as our little American experiment may be, it is still the best place to dream big. Contentious political and social divides are all part of our national growing pains. So as we celebrate another all American birthday bash, let's cherish the red, white and blue that paints the different shades of the American dream.

Drive safe. Play nice. Dream big.

And go easy on the fireworks. And hot dogs!

Stay tuned @abwrites
